Sendvio California / Global Opt-Out Page

Last updated: September 22, 2025

This page explains how individuals ("you") can exercise their right to opt-out of certain data processing and marketing communications in compliance with worldwide privacy laws, including:

  • California: California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by CPRA.
  • European Union / EEA: General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Art. 21 right to object.
  • United Kingdom: UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Brazil: Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD).
  • Canada: PIPEDA and CASL.
  • Other Jurisdictions: Singapore PDPA, South Africa POPIA, Australia Privacy Act, and similar global frameworks.

1. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Sendvio does not sell or share personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA or equivalent laws. However, because Sendvio provides tools to businesses (our "Customers"), those Customers may use Sendvio to communicate with their subscribers.

  • If you are a recipient of communications from a business using Sendvio, you must exercise your opt-out directly with that business (the "Controller").
  • Sendvio is a Processor/Service Provider and processes your data only on documented instructions from our Customers.

2. Opt-Out of Marketing Communications

If you have received an email, SMS, or WhatsApp message sent through Sendvio and wish to opt out:

  • Use the unsubscribe link provided in the message.
  • Reply "STOP" or equivalent keyword (for SMS/WhatsApp).
  • Contact the sending business directly to request removal.

Sendvio cannot unsubscribe you from a Customer's list directly unless legally required or instructed by the Customer.

3. GDPR / Global Right to Object

Under GDPR Art. 21 and equivalent laws, you may object to processing of your personal data for direct marketing.

Your request must be directed to the business that collected your data (our Customer).

If legally required, Sendvio will assist the Customer in fulfilling your request.

Sendvio is not responsible for the business's compliance failures.

4. Exercising California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Request information about personal information collected, used, shared, or disclosed.
  • Opt-out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (as defined by CPRA).
  • Request deletion of personal information.

These rights must be exercised with the business that collected your information. Sendvio cannot process these requests directly unless we are the data controller (e.g., for our own account billing records).

If your request relates to Sendvio's own data (e.g., your Sendvio account), you may submit it by emailing legal@sendvio.com.

5. Global Opt-Out Mechanism

To comply with worldwide laws, Sendvio supports a global opt-out mechanism:

  • Any unsubscribe link or SMS "STOP" command automatically prevents further marketing from that Customer through Sendvio.
  • If you believe an opt-out was not respected, email legal@sendvio.com with proof of the communication, and we will investigate with the responsible Customer.

6. Limitations and Disclaimer

  • Sendvio provides this page to facilitate compliance but acts primarily as a Processor/Service Provider.
  • Sendvio is not responsible for a Customer's misuse of your data, failure to honor opt-outs, or unlawful marketing practices.
  • Sendvio reserves the right to suspend or terminate Customers who violate this Policy or applicable anti-spam/marketing laws.

7. Updates

This page may be updated to reflect changes in law or Sendvio's practices. Material updates will be posted here with a revised "Last Updated" date.
